
Over 104 years of serving local youth through Scouting
The Chester County Council is the local operation of the Boy Scouts of America, serving Chester County, Pennsylvania and northern Cecil County, Maryland.
It has a rich heritage of developing character and leadership skills in youth. The Chester County Council received its original charter on January 17, 1919.
We serve nearly 3,500 youth annually through thousands of dedicated, talented volunteers and a small number of professional staff and it partnership with over 80 community organizations to deliver quality Scouting programs.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
