Scouting For Food 2017 Timeline

Now until November 10th, 2017
Each unit should designate one adult lead to coordinate your Scouting for Food program. The coordinator completes the unit commitment form, preorders Scouting For Food patches (if desired) and arranges for bag pick up (we recommend 8 per Scout) at the Council Service Center or your District Roundtable in October.

***Again this year - all patches must be ordered and paid for at the time of commitment (deadline is 11/10/17) through this online registration/payment form at check out. No late orders will be accepted.

November 11th - November 18th
Empty bags are delivered by Scouts throughout their neighborhoods and then picked up with donations.

November 19th - December 8th
Count your food and submit the total on this online Reporting form. (We suggest you bookmark this link) Take the food your unit collects to a pantry or food bank of your choice after it is counted and noted on the Reporting Form. Be sure all food is collected and reported by Friday, December 8, 2017.

December 9th, 2017 - January 15th, 2018
SFF wrap up period - patches will be distributed in unit mailboxes at the council service center after January 15th, 2018.

This annual event helps to collect needed food items for one of the most “in-demand” times of the year for food cupboards, food banks, community shelters, church pantries and neighborhood service centers.
