Community Service
The national Boy Scout organization's "Good Turn for America" initiative addresses three critical areas of need in our society: hunger, homelessness and poor health. The Boy Scouts have collaborated with The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross and thousands of other community organizations, focusing the power of volunteerism on community issues.
Please log your service hours
Did your pack, troop, or crew participate in the Scouting for Food
Drive? Don't forget to log in your service hours on the Good Turn for
America website and count them toward your Journey to Excellence
points. The final numbers are still being calculated, however we can report that our council scored Gold on Journey to Excellence Service: Community Service for 2011 with 47,409 being reported so far! Way to go!
