The Horseshoe Scout Reservation - Camp Horseshoe
Chester County Council's Camp Horseshoe offers one of the last seven day, traditional Boy Scout summer resident camp programs. With over 40+ merit badge choices, a stellar first-year Scout program called Trailblazers, a multitude of SIP's as well as variety of older-Scout program opportunities including COPE, mountain biking, the Mason Dixon Adventure which combines a backcountry exploration of camping on the Horseshoe Scout Reservation with off site activities such as caving, rock climbing and a location offering water activities . . . . Camp Horseshoe has something for every Scout!
Lead by seasoned directors, including Camp Director, Mike 'Berk' Berkeihiser with over 15 years at Horseshoe, we staff so that ALL Scouts are able to take ANY merit badge they want. We can't wait to make be your home-away-from-home for a week next summer!

The Mason Dixon Adventure provides Scouts age fourteen and older exciting, challenging experiences off the Horseshoe Scout Reservation three of their days at camp, and two in the backcountry of the Reservation. Returning after their day’s adventure just prior to retreat allows them to fulfill the important role as youth leadership for their troops during mornings and evenings. The only exception is their overnight trek Thursday night when so many other troop members are already on outpost. Scouts will enjoy the balance of their week in camp with the troop, sharing their adventures with their fellow Scouters and celebrating a great week at HSR! Click here for additional information.
Boy Scout Provisional-Independent camping provides an exceptional opportunity for the Scout unable to attend with his troop or wishes to attend additional weeks - perhaps to get those Eagle required merit badges completed! Offered every week of the summer, your Scout is placed with a host troop specifically chosen to ensure he will get the most from his week at camp. Additional information including rates and an application will be available on or before February 1, 2013.
